WestRidge Wins In Two Major Categories at the 2007 PRISM Awards!

How about this: The Gold Award for "Best Innovative Land Planning Design"! And, also not to be overlooked, the Silver Award for "Best Logo of the Year".

Thorndike Development is thrilled to announce that its WestRidge Active Adult community in Hudson, MA was a big winner at the 2007 Prestigious Results in Sales and Marketing (PRISM) bi-annual awards ceremony, recently held in Boston. WestRidge won in two very different categories, land planning and logo creation.

A quote from one of the judges said it best, “Congratulations to Gold Winner WestRidge for marrying the best Land Use with the best environmental and community needs.” This is particularly gratifying to the Thorndike team as the land upon which WestRidge now resides was challenging to work with. While the land offers spectacular, classic New England views, it also was topographically varied and, due to its prior uses as a farm and part of a wool operation, had some environmental issues. The land has now been returned to its natural state.

“We cannot be happier” said Project Manager Dave Eastridge. “For us, this is what we do best….begin with the land and develop a place where people can create the lifestyle they want. The judges saw what we saw and we are very proud.”

Maribeth Boisvert, WestRidge Sales Manager also, needless to say, is very excited. “This is a stamp of approval for our vision! We are right in the middle of the first phase of construction, so it is sometimes hard for some people to visualize the future. Now WestRidge’s land plan has been recognized by a premier organization as being best in our area. Come visit!!”

Also, WestRidge received a nod for its newly developed logo. Developed in conjunction with Swardlick Marketing Group, the logo is in shades of green, representing both the rolling hills in the distance and the environmental efforts undertaken to return this land to its glory. The phrase “Easy Living for Active Adults” sums up the lifestyle, and the location Hudson, Massachusetts reminds people where WestRidge is located.

It is good to be complimented, but the only real compliment Thorndike likes to hear is comprised of four words, “I love my home.” So, as Maribeth says, Come visit!
