Over the River and Through the Woods
The construction of our new active adult community of WestRidge is well under way, but you can't see it from the road. You have to go over the river and through the woods to catch a glimpse of this secluded, quiet neighborhood. Actually, the river is nearby and the woods are surrounding the community, but the point is to come visit WestRidge to see the progress being made.
WestRidge is the latest active adult community conceived, designed and built by Thorndike Development. WestRidge leverages the great success of Thorndike's Red Mill Village, which has won two national awards for "Best Active Adult Community". It is hard to process this notion that a New England active adult community could beat out all those communities in the "sunshine states" of Florida, South Carolina and Arizona, but it is so. (Go to "About Thorndike" for a list of major awards.)
WestRidge is located on WestRidge Road off Technology Drive in Hudson. The homes are on a pastoral 31 acres that are surrounded by an additional 73 acres of permanent open space. To view the homes, you must drive down the 1/4-mile WestRidge Road and the new village and views of the western hills unfolds in front of you. It is worth the trip!
As we write, there are 4 buildings under construction, including two townhome buildings and two single family homes. The Village Green is taking shape and homes are available for reservation at this time.
You don't need a horse driven sleigh to go over the river and through the woods to WestRidge, but is worth taking a drive to understand the beauties of this new community.
